619 Force Oil Filter Strap Wrench
This Force Strap Wrench is one of those simple, effective tools that saves a massive amount of hassle when you’re stuck with an oil filter that a conventional tool just won’t touch. It’s built for those tight engine bays where you can only get to the end of the filter rather than having the side clearance needed for a standard pair of filter pliers or a claw.
The design uses a 50mm wide nylon webbing strap that can wrap around filters up to 150mm in diameter. Because it’s a strap system, it isn’t limited by the shape of the filter housing; it just bites down harder as you apply more turning force. The core of the tool is a steel square shank that gives you a few different ways to get some leverage. You can plug a 1/2″ drive ratchet or breaker bar straight into it, use a spanner on the flats of the shank, or even slide a screwdriver through the cross-hole if you’re in a real pinch.
It’s a rugged, high-utility bit of gear that doesn’t take up much room in a toolbox but is invaluable when a filter is over-tightened or buried in a restricted space. Backed by the Force Limited Lifetime Warranty, if you’re doing regular servicing on a variety of vehicles or machinery, having one of these on hand is a much better option than struggling with gear that wasn’t designed for cramped access.
