LED color coding:
Green: very good, no water
Green + yellow: in good condition, less than 1% water
Green + yellow + yellow: substitution recommended, approximately 2% water
Green + yellow + yellow + red: substitution recommended, approximately 3% water
Green + yellow + yellow + red + red: replace, at least 4% water
Why replace brake fluid:
Brake fluid has the property of attracting water.
The brake fluid can become hot, and as a result, the water present can start boiling.
That means air bubbles and, as a result: loss of braking power!
Water in brake fluid also causes corrosion (rust) in the braking system.
Corrosion has adverse consequences such as seized brake cylinders and leakage.
